In Arabic and Urdu, “ihsan” (احسان), means the act of doing something with excellence — not because you must, but because anything less would be a dishonour to the craft. It is the concept of beauty pursued not for applause, but as a way of being.
Decor By Ihsan was founded in 2011 by Ihsan Habib, with a singular conviction: that a great event is not measured by what it looks like. It is measured by what it feels like when it is over, and how long that feeling stays.
Fifteen years later, DBI has designed over 2,500 celebrations across Qatar, UAE, Pakistan and now the Sultanate of Oman — each one as singular as the family who commissioned it. We have worked in heritage forts and five-star hotel ballrooms, in private desert camps and on the shores of the Arabian Sea. What has not changed across any of it is this: we do not repeat designs. We do not use templates. We begin every engagement with a blank canvas and one question: what should this feel like?
It is the most accurate description of how we work.
